Gokhru (Tribulus terrestris), known in Sanskrit as Gokshura, is a small creeping plant with spiky fruits. It grows across much of India, and its fruit is the part used in Ayurveda.
How Ayurveda describes it
Classical texts describe Gokshura as a Vrishya herb – one traditionally used to support male vitality – and as a tonic for the urinary system. It is also used as a rasayana in many traditional formulas.
Where you will find it
Gokhru is usually combined with other herbs such as Ashwagandha, Safed Musli and Kaunch Beej. In the Kapimuni range it appears in Ojas, Ts-GO and Shilajit Gold, with the exact milligrams listed on each label.
Tips for daily use
- Drink enough water through the day.
- Take your formula after meals, at the same time each day.
- Stay consistent for a few months, as Ayurveda recommends.
If you have kidney problems, a hormone-related condition, or take regular medication, check with a qualified doctor first.
